Are you feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed? Are you experiencing low moods or unwanted thoughts? Are you struggling to come to terms with past adverse life experiences? Are there patterns of behaviour that you would like to change but find it hard to?
If so you may find counselling helpful…
Psychosynthesis counselling explores how your thoughts and feelings affect your emotional and physical well-being. It helps to identify unhelpful patterns of behaviour, which may have developed over time, as well as unresolved losses or painful life events from the past.
Psychosynthesis recognises that all these habitual ways of relating and thinking impact the present and can prevent from living life to the full and achieving your goals.
Psychosynthesis has links to CBT and Mindfulness as well addressing past issues in so far as they impact the present.
About us working together:
I will aim to create a safe space for you to explore your current difficulties and express your feelings. This can be through talking and use of the creative arts, in order to facilitate awareness of patterns of behaviour and process unresolved life events which may be blocking you from achieving your potential. Once you have awareness, then there is choice and therefore possibility of change.
Psychosynthesis is suitable as a short term or longer term therapy and we can use our initial meeting to see whether this is the right counselling for you and if so to agree time scales and form a working agreement.
I adhere to the BACP and HCPC ethical guidelines and framework and aim to provide an anti-discriminatory service.
Individual sessions are £55 per 50mins. Parent and parent-child sessions are £65, family work £70. Some reduced fees available for young people
