Integrative Psychodynamic Psychologist
I consider myself a therapist with diverse life and professional experiences that give me deep understandings of various emotionally challenging and complex feelings of life experiences. I offer relational and innovative perspectives and tools to guide and support my clients and patients through their difficult and distressing processes.
My psychodynamic training allows me to work in depth with the root cause of emotional issues, while my psychological training provides me an understanding of the physical embodiment of various disturbances, symptoms, and illnesses. This combination gives me tools to access and address the integration of mental and physical health, taking in consideration social and environmental context in which an individual, a couple or a family is involved. I hold a particular interest and knowledge on attachment, which is our human psychological foundation; correlating with how on we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. Therefore, I often focus on the ways childhood and trauma have affected emotional development and adult personalities. I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for immediate psychological needs and reliefs.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychoanalytical Psychologist and have 18 years of experience in mental health practice. I am Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked, insured, and abide by several Codes of Ethics regulations. My clients include Individuals, Couples, and Children/Adolescents. I have worked with a number of organisations including fostering and adoption services, women’s organisations, diet clinics, children’s hospices, and adult psychiatric hospitals, both NHS and private. My specialities include young people and adults experiencing various issues from mild mental disturbances to disorders.
