BACP and NCPS Accredited Integrative Relational Counsellor

Diploma Sandplay Therapist

It’s my pleasure to meet you… and however you are feeling right now, that’s welcome too.

I’m Natasha, an integrative relational counsellor working with several theories and techniques, always with the deepest empathic understanding and respect for what you are going through.

Depressed? Hopeless? Ashamed? Stuck? Lost? Anxiety? Trauma? Bereaved? Together we can help make sense of what you have faced, where you find yourself, where you want to go. It’s not easy to consider counselling, but here you’ve got my support, compassion and sincerity to explore this together. You will find I place emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, immediately creating safety and belonging, healing experiences in their own right.

No one is as unique as you, hence the approach will be bespoke and tailored, just to you. I’m an intercultural counsellor – shamed identities are welcome here! Someone who has your back, bringing solidity to help you do this wherever or whatever that pain, block, feeling, thought, emotion, stuckness, dread is.

Expect to experience yourself, just as you are, honoured and met.

Alongside talking therapies, to respect and welcome your entire self, I provide creative-working, certified Sandplay therapy and play-based working. This makes for a truly integrative, holistic approach, guided and informed by research. I recognise often words don’t quite capture things. Working in creative and play-based ways alongside talking therapy attends to all parts of you, including non-verbal experiences.

Many find that working with sand and other creative methods can be a gentle, grounding way to approach difficulties. Clarifying exactly what the problem is, how those feelings are, expressing them somehow, can bring relief and release. It can be intriguing and enlightening to understand relational patterns in new, embodied, kind ways. A wonderful way to remove shame and open the door to acceptance and transformation.

Sandplay compliments Counselling.

I offer kind witnessing as we explore difficulties and make meaning at your pace, compassionately and with a sense of curiosity to your identities in the world.

We can tend to live, re-live, repeat, recycle… living legacies of our pasts. I listen at depth, beyond the narrative you may have told many times before. Here, we can be curious about the story no one has yet heard. The story of not just what you’ve been through and are going through, but how you adapted and survived!

Do you struggle with toxic shame? A sadly very common experience and exceptionally painful. Listening compassionately in this way, paying attention to the way we hold traumas in our breath and body, undercuts and eliminates shame, as we appreciate our attempts to survive.

What did your brain, body and nervous system have to do to stay regulated?

Let’s wonder together and appreciate the adaptations. Perhaps finding new ones… learn to notice triggering, expanding our ability to soothe and calm as we travel.

It may help to know a little about me. Prior to being a counsellor I worked with the very young right through to the very old with particular focus on trauma and “otherness,” being and feeling “different,” addictions and homelessness. From this I have been privileged to witness the pain, shame, trauma, grief, sorrow, loss, courage, despair… and smiles!

I have been humbled to welcome all these and make meaning together, always with the deepest respect, compassion and sincerity. Beneath all the pain and tears, there is a wonderment to being you, perhaps together we can discover a sense of what that may be.

Interested or curious? Do get in touch for an initial meeting. It would be my absolute pleasure to welcome you, too.
